Medical doctor - Integrating Eastern and Western Medicine
I am a medical doctor with 33 years of experience and curently, I consult online. My interests in alternative and complimentary medicine combined with my quest to find health, wellness and longevity took me on my journey of medical exploration. I discovered the art and science of Siddha Vaidyam originally known as Chitta Vaidyam, the sub atomic medical science. almost a literal translation, in my early twenties.
My teacher Dr. Harichandran the renowned Siddha doctor showed how to navigate the hidden paths of Siddha medical knowledge resulting in my understanding scientific medicine even better. The congruence that exists between Siddha Vaidyam and current medicine is remarkable and enabled me to understand both better. I am very pleased with knowing these two systems of medicine along with the fundamentals and practice of Ayurveda.
I understand now that both the eastern medical sciences and western medical science were trying to describe the same conditions in different languages and from different points of view which are mutually intelligent.
This planned series of classes is my attempt at elucidating the seemingly stubborn eastern medical sciences in the light of knowledge provided by modern medicine and hoping that it will be easy to digest and assimilate, for your understanding and pleasure.
These classes are not aimed at diagnosing or curing any diseases or medical conditions and are not a substitute for quality medical care. This is to merely make you think in a different path.
Those already licensed to practice a medical science might find these lectures interesting and might give them tools to enrich their practice. For those suffering from a medical condition, these lectures might empower you with different information and accumulated wisdom that traveled millennia to reach you.
I welcome you to join this journey into Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is the yogic sleep used to realign proprioception, the sixth sense or our body awareness.
Practices of Yoga Nidra is akin to taking a vacation from one normal existence. Yoga Nidra takes the practitioner to a different reality where he or she is removed from the awareness about this world temporarily. This state in turn, reduces the processing load away from the brain, allowing the cerebellum, the little brain to rest and recuperate, one of the few instances where this is possible.
Thank you and Welcome.
