Join the Grow Your Yoga team - Katy + Caroline - for 6 weeks worth of workouts that will support your yoga practice + leave you feeling stronger mentally + physically. Yoga is a fantastic way to look after your physical well-being - but did you know that yoga is predominantly a push based exercise which means, there's no pulling movement happening. Why can this be a problem? Well, you will run into potential injuries as there isn't enough support in the opposing muscles. Also, yoga can be a LOT of passive stretching - our programme works on your active flexibility, which means you'll develop your flexibility but also have the support + strength to apply it to move functional movements + also those tricky postures you've had you're eye on!
We're there with you throughout the whole thing - working out alongside you. We both demonstrate different variations of the exercises so everyone is included - wherever you are on your journey.
The programme is broken down into 6 weeks worth of workouts. Each workout has a warm up, main workout + a cool down.
Here's what it looks like:
Weeks 1 + 2 workout a + b
Weeks 3 + 4 workout a + b
Weeks 5 + 6 workout a + b
Our bodies adapt through consistency + repetition - you will repeat the same workout 4 times within each 2 week period.
The workouts consist of body weight exercise + resistance bands are used too.
After the 6 weeks, we encourage you to repeat again, adding extra repetitions + changing variations of the exercises as you get stronger.
