REACT to FILM Teacher Training

The Teacher Training course will walk you through how to use the REACT to FILM curriculum to provide a safe, inclusive learning environment for diverse learners. You will complete modules on active and close viewing of the films, facilitating discussions, assessing student learning, setting up the physical classroom space, creating a safe / brave space, and differentiating instruction for diverse materials through Universal Design for Learning and scaffolding.

The REACT to FILM Middle & High School curriculum is custom designed to educate and empower today's youth through documentary film. Our courses encourage participation and activism by focusing on the most pressing global issues facing our nation, our world, and our planet.

Our curricular resources allow schools to educate on a spectrum of social ailments from the psychosocial effects of war to nutrition, from gun policy to gender inequity, from conflict mediation to homelessness.

Leveraging the best issue-based filmmaking to promote social responsibility and spark civic engagement, REACT to FILM is a platform of educational programs in high schools and colleges.
