Pure Mathematics for Beginners consists of a series of lessons in Logic, Set Theory, Abstract Algebra, Number Theory, Real Analysis, Topology, Complex Analysis, and Linear Algebra.
Lesson 2 from this series covers the basics of set theory. In this lesson we will learn about sets, subsets, Venn diagrams, and the transitivity of the subset relation. We will also begin to learn how to prove theorems.
The content in this lesson is self-contained with the exception of a few notes that refer to some of the concepts that were taught in Lesson 1.
