About this course:
If you are non-native speaker, want to take bigger steps in your career but lack confidence with public speaking in English, then this course is for you!
By the end of the course, you will be able to plan and prepare a script for your presentation and become a confident speaker.
In this course, I cover the following steps:
Planning - defining the objective of your presentation
Preparation - looking at the structure of a presentation in detail and writing a script
The dos and don'ts of giving an effective presentation - practical tips and advice on how to build your confidence, what to avoid, how to engage your audience and give a memorable talk.
This course also includes signposting language and template documents to help you become a confident speaker. You can access these documents in Resources under sections 2 (Planning: Define the Objective) and 3 (The Structure of a Presentation).
Please note that this course mainly focuses on language used in presentations. There are no lectures on how to create presentation slides.
This course is ideal for any English-native speaker who has never given a presentation before and is looking for guidance in structuring their talk.
