How many times have you found yourself overextended? How often has your boss talked you into taking on just one more project? And if that other kid's mom from school gets you to sign onto one more committee, you'll scream.
Would you like to have more time to say yes to the things that matter? How about starting with learning to say no? No is one of the most powerful yet underused words in our vocabulary. This workshop is designed to empower you to harness the word "NO" and all its benefits. There are plenty of people trying to get you to say yes; it's time to learn to play defense for the benefit of your sanity.
This workshop starts with our yes problem and its impact on our lives. In the second module, you will identify the various myths we use to trick ourselves into saying yes more often than we want. Next, we talk about the self-assessment needed to prepare ourselves for saying no, anticipating what might happen and with whom. In the fourth module, I cover some of my top techniques for saying no, and when each is appropriate. Finally, in the last module, we cover how to stick with your no, and how to recant an undesirable yes (if possible).
Learn the time-tested technique for regaining control of your life, time, and schedule. Get over the guilt of saying no and use it as one of your superpowers.
