The CISA certification consists of 5 modules, which, based on professional experience (ISACA requires 5 years of experience), can cost more or less, always taking into account the methodology of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
Module 1 - The Information Systems Audit Process.
This helps the candidate to gain the knowledge required to meet the highest standards of information systems and provide best practice auditing. For organisations, this would mean complete control and protection of their business and information systems.
Module 2 - CISA's role in IT governance
The topics covered in Module 2 help develop IS (Information System) control practices and management mechanisms. Organisations benefit from certified professionals who will provide assurance of best practices, including policies, accountability and monitoring structures, to achieve the desired IT governance.
Module 3 - CISA's role in systems and infrastructure lifecycle management
This module covers the processes and methodologies that modern organisations employ when changing or reinventing the infrastructure components of their application systems. Like the material covered in the other topics, this module prepares for the real world.
Module 4: The role of CISA in IT service delivery and support
In this module, you will review the processes and methodologies applicable to different IT systems. In addition, it will provide information on the IS audit in case of a disruption. Companies stand to gain by hiring certified candidates who can implement disaster recovery methodologies and timely resumption of database services, thus minimising the negative impact on a variety of business processes.
Module 5 - CISA's role in protecting information assets
The key component of Module 5 enables a practitioner to ensure the integrity, availability and confidentiality of information assets while instituting logical and physical access controls and other security measures.
