The hanbo is a middle-length wood or bamboo stick about three feet in length. It is believed to have been derived from a walking stick, the handle of a rake or shovel, or from half of a bo staff.
This course teaches the traditional self-defense techniques and katas for the Jo staff. It is an ideal teaching aid for review, rank testing, competition, and self defense.
