learn the fundamentals of programming from the ground up

learning programming is not easy, java is not easy to learn, you tried using video tutorials on youtube, buy books, and even take courses, and still you cant program.

you wonder "what am I doing wrong?" you finish one tutorial and another it feels like your in tutorial limbo and cant code on your own.

you fail to solve an assignment or you solve it, but still, you don't understand how everything works.

everyone is teaching the basic syntax, doesn't matter if it's a 5 minutes video or 30 hours course.

they show you the "how" but don't explain the "why" it works, or if they do you don't get it.

well, the "why" is simple, its logic, or machine logic.

teaching a programming language syntax without the logic is like teaching you to write in a new language without teaching you how to speak it or what every word means or how to combine words in a way that makes sense.

so how do you learn programming logic?

simple, by practicing, and I don't mean writing code mindlessly or these assignments that want you to code something you don't understand.

after teaching programming for years I know exactly what beginners need to practice to develop their logic. you need to start from a simple familiar task and translate it into machine logic.

for example: write code that checks for the bigger number out of two numbers.

that's the simplest machine logic practice you can do.

but you have to do it to become a programmer, sure other ways to learn programming works too but mine is relatively a faster way to learn java programming.

while I start teaching basic syntax like any other course, in fact, because it's so common I left most of it open so you can start taking my course for free.

the meat of the course is the "assignments and practice" section there you will actually learn/practice how to code.

each video(in the assignments section) will show you an assignment and its solution. so you will never be stuck.

but I suggest you wrestle with the assignments as much as you can before watching the solution.

but if you do get stuck use the q&a section.

why shod i buy your course?

if your not sure if you want to be a programmer or not, don't buy this course, without strong motivation(to learn programming) you won't get far and you won't like it.

in fact, don't buy this course before you tried other courses, try them, those courses that claim they can turn you into a "software engineer" or promise you will "find a job"(you really believe they can guarantee this?) or they have 80 hours of content....it won't help you if you get stuck at the start.

try free tutorials try everything.

and if you won't get burned out and give up, try mine too and you will see the difference after you finish my exercises.

ill tell you this, when i started learning i bought a lot of books and courses, because i really really wanted to learn programming (if you don't have this motivation don't buy my course please), some i didn't even read to this day and some helped me a lot, i don't regret paying for any of them, because i got their value 10 times once i got my first hi-tech job.

as i said most books and courses teach about the syntax and thats it, me too, but and its a big but, i also included my best exercises that will catapult you from scratching your head to writing code intuitively (only and only if you do all of them, if you cant i also included me solving them "live" after i explain the assignment).

my course aims to be one of those resourses that helped you a lot (my actual goal is to make it the resource that helped you the most).

in the future, I will keep adding lessons to this course as I think it's important to expand your knowledge of programming as much as I can.

I plan to add a section about algorithms. also, I will add more assignments and other subjects that beginners shod know.

my long term goal is to create the best coding course for beginners.

-update: new section about database programming with java:

I add this part after the one about assignments because I think it's very important, when I started working as a programmer most of my jobs were server-side database based application, as many programs and apps relay on persistent data and databases. I think its important to learn about this subject even for beginners.

I will keep updating this course with more lessons and assignments.
