Chinese for beginners: Essentials in Communication(Level-2)

This course follows the natural process of learning a language, just like how we learn our mother language, which is completely different from the traditional way of language learning. The key is to give learners a lot of understandable experience with a new language from the start.

We will play a animated cartoon dialogue dubbed by serveral native speakers for every lesson. Listen as much as possible, like a little baby, immerse your brain into the conversation, play the conversation as often as possible, until you are able to understand the content and even able to predict what the next word sounds like.

(Automatic Language Growth was developed by Dr. J. Marvin Brown inspired in large part by the language acquisition theories of Dr. Stephen Krashen. The ALG approach includes a long "silent period" of listening first to many hours of interesting comprehensible input in the second language before speaking it much. It claims that adults can learn new languages as effortlessly and as well as young children do, becoming near-native or native-like in fluency and ability, if they take the same approach of implicit learning. Rather than the adult brain having lost the ability to pick up languages, it claims that the conscious learning abilities adult language learners typically use get in the way of learning languages as well as children do, given the same kind of environment of understandable experience in a new language.)
