Learn How to Connect With Your Teen

"Learn how to connect with your Teen" is the online version of the MOTIVATION Teen workshop created by author and youth speaker Marcus "M-Positive" Parker. The course is a fun and engaging curriculum that focuses on individual growth and offers life-training topics such as:

1. Learning to Be Yourself

2. Battling Negativity

3. Goal Setting

4. Following Through

5. Time Management

and more. It accomplishes this by blending education with entertainment and music which reinforce the positive messages. The workshop contains over 14 years of experience in motivating teens. Working in public schools across the state of Texas and beyond, this training comes directly from all of the thousands of interactions with teens in this setting. This resource gives practical listening techniques for parents and teachers to learn where their students need the most support and ways to give then the support they need to communicate properly.

Teens are very unique and they often respect their authority figures (parents and teachers) more when they feel understood. They are currently living in a world that is much more critical of them due to the rise of social media. Social media devices did not exist when parents were teens so it can be difficult for parents to truly understand the social pressures that are associated with teens who are constantly being compared to others giving them many more levels of insecurity than the generation before them.
