Course Content
This Course, Learn About Decimals, was created to help students learn more about the decimal system and its connection to all topics in mathematics.
The Base Ten System is the way that we assign place value to the digits in our number system. This foundational concept is often overlooked and sometimes deemed unnecessary, which could be part of the reason for confusion in the topic of decimals and in other fundamentals of math.
A knowledge of the Base Ten System is a necessary foundation for many other math topics, such as decimal computation, scientific notation, and for many concepts in Algebra and Calculus. Some of these concepts will be introduced in this course to show the wide extent that the Decimal System has.
