How to teach your child swimming - Survival swim

This is a new philosophy of swimming, where the playing time together is the most important and learned skills are just an added bonus. This swimming program is based on games so your child doesn’t even think that he/she is learning swimming techniques and will just have fun. The first thing that you will teach your child is to love the water and believe me once the child loves water nothing is difficult especially if you are playing together.

The child will learn from repetition. Practice the swimming lesson plan as long as it takes for the child to learn the skill really well. Then move to the next level of swimming lesson plan. The lesson plans are very alike so he/she won’t feel confused but through each one we add on new swimming challenges..

Survival swim teaches children the correct body position and how to move in the water. All these skills are useful for the swimming styles including Freestyle and backstroke.

Survival swim is of the utmost importance. It is detrimental that your child is safe in the water, because when he/she becomes tired and needs to breathe, he/ she will turn on his/her back and rest. He/she doesn't have to do anything at all, no excessive movement just simply relax. In today's hectic times, relaxation is a rarity that is indispensable. It is also the most difficult skill that you will teach a child, as children are so high energy. It is not only important for swimming, but for use in life too. It is the greatest challenge, because we, as teachers, will also learn to slow down and listen with patience to our little apprentices.
