It's packed with lots of practical and hands-on strategies that you can use with your child to help them significantly reduce their meltdowns and anxieties at this time of the year. Children with autism often face real difficulties with all the changes in routine that Christmas brings, as well as the way that everything about Christmas looks, feels, sounds and smells different. This course gives you a step-by-step guide where we look at anxieties, sensory processing, rigid routines and the difficulties around change that our children can struggle with, why they happen and what you can do to help and support your child to prevent many of these issues. There are also sections about how to give your other children a great Christmas too, what you can do when relatives and friends don’t understand autism as well as you’d like them too, and a great session especially for you too, looking at your stress and overwhelm and how to reduce it. There’s a wonderful but manageably short mindful relaxation session, breathing exercises and lots else to make you feel better and stronger about everything too.
