Deutsch für Anfänger (German for Beginners)

The basic objectives of the level I program is to promote communication in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, and to further broaden the students’ vocabulary and grammatical skills. Students will develop a more in-depth awareness of the German-speaking people, countries and regions, heritage, and contributions to and interactions within the world.

Course Objectives

The students will be able to:

• Demonstrate vocabulary, grammatical structure, and content of level I.

• Use greetings and farewells

• Use basic German phrases to give information about you and your family and ask others for information.

• Talk about free time activities.

• Talk about likes and dislikes etc.

• Talk about daily routines with telling time.

• Talk about the weather.

• Talk about likes and dislikes with regards to food.

• Order in a restaurant.
