Explore how generational cohort differences manifest in the work behaviors of individual team members.
Identify generationally-related definitions of the term work, generational assets and liabilities, and generational preferences.
Identify techniques to effectively manage a team consisting of members from numerous generational cohorts.

In this second course managers learn about work behaviors and preferences related to each generation. This course builds upon the cohort definitions and introductory traits that you have already learned in class one (Managing in a Multi-Generational Workplace: Defining the Generational Cohorts).

In Managing in a Multi-Generational Workplace: The Cohorts at Work, we discuss specifically how the generational differences in members of your team can manifest in the workplace.  We look at generational definitions of work, on the job assets, on the job liabilities, and preferences.  We then discuss how one can effectively manage a team consisting of members from numerous generational cohorts by looking specifically at the different organizational implications that are created by generational diversity.  You will be lead through an exercise where you can build a basic action plan of what you, as a manager, can do to improve generational collaboration in your organization.
