Welcome to this course on Cloud Databases on Microsoft Azure. When you are working in the Information technology sector, you have to frequently upgrade your skills by learning most in-demand tools and technologies such as Cloud computing and Database. You can create almost any kind of service on Cloud platforms, from storage to blockchain, from machine learning to mobile testing and so on. You can also integrate various tools and services available on Microsoft Azure, to bring your solution to problems. Where storage allows you to scale your data easily on cloud, that data generally is unstructured in nature. With the ever growing digital world where data is the new oil, technologies like big data and analytics are in high demand. But in order to perform any kind of operations, the data must be structured or at least semi-structured. All of these can be achieved with Cloud databases. You might already be familiar with some kind of databased, specially the very old friend- MySQL and other relational databases. You can create almost any kind of database on Microsoft Azure cloud platform from relational to no-SQL, etc.

In this course you will be learning various databases and services available on Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This course is divided into multiple sections, and you would be learning three key database services- SQL Database, CosmosDB and Data Warehouse.

With SQL Database, you could create Relational, SQL based database where we can create, read, update, delete (CRUD) data values arranged in rows and columns in form tables.

With CosmosDB you can create multiple kinds of No SQL databases- document, key value, column, graph that are highly elastic, distributed and scalable.

With Data Warehouse you could keep our structured, semi-structured data on the cloud.

You would be learning concepts with practical exercises and projects on CosmosDB and SQL Database. You would also learn about Azure Command line interface (CLI).
