*This course is not a How to Draw course. This course delves into the ways you can use technology to make creating comics easier and faster.
"When I first decided to make a comic, I sucked at drawing (even though I was always artistically inclined throughout my life - I just didn’t have the basic fundamentals and understanding to draw decent). Practice truly does make perfect - but I’ve learned a lot of ways to use technology to help me create better art and comics.
My first ever attempt at making a comic, I only acquired 10 subscribers after a year of work. With my third comic - I managed to grow my readership into the thousands after the same amount of time. I would argue that a good story is even more important than the actual art - but pleasing art definitely helps to capture those new readers.
I wish I had known how to use different digital applications and tools from the beginning because I could have saved myself a lot of time and improved my skills much faster.
However, learning the hard way has given me the ability to share what I’ve learned with wannabe creators and hopefully save you time and frustration in your comic making journey. This course will delve into the basics of digital comic creation from script writing and sketching, to formatting and publishing. By the end of the course you will understand the basic fundamentals of making a comic, have completed at least 1 page of your comic, and be able to continue telling your story and building your readership online."
