Coaching Course: Socio-Emotional Development in Children

**This coaching course is approved by SkillsFuture Singapore. It combines online learning with face-to-face skills coaching sessions conducted in small groups in Singapore. Singaporeans can purchase this coaching course with their SkillsFuture Credit. Other learners in Singapore (without SkillsFuture Credit) may also purchase this course on their own account.

This programme will help preschool educators and professional caregivers, who are taking care of children between 3-6 years old, to understand the importance of building close relationship with children.  They will be introduced to the processes of development, and explore how theoretical perspectives can be applied to a Child's Development through MOOC, and integrated with the flipped learning model. Learners will explore and review age appropriate activities that will engage young children in learning. During the face to face session,  practice stations will be set up for learners to role play and practice their newly acquired skills in managing children of ages 4 to 6 years.

d. elaborating on the different theories that further explains the process of child development

2. Relate daily interactions be aware of child’s social emotional development to:

a. further equip educators with social emotional coaching skills

b. support children with appropriate social skills

c. help children manage their own emotions

d. practice how to be a child’s social emotional coach
