Cloud Migration on Microsoft AZURE

In this course, you will be learning various Cloud Migration tools and services available on Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. You will learn what are the various kinds of Migrations including Database Migration, Physical Migration from On-Premise Data Centre to the Cloud, from Cloud to On-Premise, between different cloud vendors such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM Bluemix , etc.

You would also learn about Recovery and Backup options with Site Recovery. Throughout the course we would cover following Migration services offered by Microsoft Azure-

Site Recovery

Organizations generally need to adopt a business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) strategy that keeps your data safe, and your apps and workloads online, when planned and unplanned outages occur. Azure Site recovery helps you achieve this.

Database Migration

It is a tool that helps you simplify, guide and automate your database migration to Azure. You can easily migrate your data, schema and objects from multiple sources to the cloud at scale.

Azure Migrate

It provides a centralized hub to assess and migrate to Azure on-premises servers, infrastructure, applications, and data. It provides the following: Unified migration platform: A single portal to start, run, and track your migration to Azure.

Data Box

It lets you send terabytes of data into and out of Azure in a quick, inexpensive, and reliable way. The secure data transfer is accelerated by shipping you a proprietary Data Box storage device. Each storage device has a maximum usable storage capacity of 80 TB and is transported to your datacenter through a regional carrier. The device has a rugged casing to protect and secure data during the transit.

Data Box edge and Data Gateway

Data Box Gateway is a virtual device based on a virtual machine provisioned in your virtualized environment or hypervisor. The virtual device resides in your premises and you write data to it using the NFS and SMB protocols. The device then transfers your data to Azure block blob, page blob, or Azure Files.
