Chemical Safety in the Workplace - Guidance on PPE Selection

Dangerous chemicals are often used and handled in workplaces. The risk of injury or ill-health upon exposure to the hazards of the chemicals at work depends on whether there are adequate safety measures in place.

As per international OHS standards, the employer of a workplace is required to make necessary arrangements in ensuring the safety and health in connection with the use, handling, storage, or transport of chemicals. These include the arrangements for assessing the risks of chemicals in the workplace and establishing appropriate safety measures.
