Organic Chemistry: Master Alcohol Synthesis and Mechanisms

In this course you will be taught how to master all the content typically presented to undergraduates in organic chemistry when learning about alcohol functional groups and their reactions. In this course you can expect to learn the needed skills for: 

IUPAC Naming of Alcohols

Understanding Alcohol and Phenol Acidity

Reactions to create alcohols including hydration reactions, diol formation, reductions, and Grignard reactions. 

Reactions of alcohols including dehydration, alkyl halide formation, and oxidation. 

Protection of Alcohol Functional Groups, and when to perform a protection.

This class will also include detailed PDF note sheets for major topics so you can have notes directly created by me, your instructor. By the end of this course you should be able to confidently tackle any undergraduate chapter on alcohols!
