Beginner Guitar Course

In this beginner guitar course we are going to be focusing on playing melody lines and learning how to play the main notes on Strings One and Two.

Each section introduces you to a new note and includes video backing tracks showing you how to play them and also the sheet music used for each piece.

In Section One we'll talk about tuning your instrument and using the correct left hand - tunnel fingers and right hand - walking fingers techniques.

In Section Two we'll be focusing on the open String notes E and B and playing along with a Twelve Bar Blues.

Section Three introduces the left hand and we look at the 3rd fret notes G on String One and D on String Two and play along with a Twelve Bar Blues.

Section Four we'll be playing the notes F on String One 1st fret and use this in the piece Señorita. We'll also look at the note A on fret 5 and C on String Two fret 1.

In Section Five we'll look at a new note on string One called F# then put all the notes we've learnt into well known songs like Havana, We Will Rock You, Dance Monkey and Jingle Bell Rock.
