Basic Python for College Students and Beginners

The internet is replete with a lot of python courses. There is python for data science and machine learning, python for data analysis, python for computer vision, python for cyber-security, etc. However, it is hard to find a python course online that is targeted towards college students. This course stands out from other python courses because it is targeted towards college students. Having worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and currently working as a CIS Instructor, I see the longings in these minds of college students and beginners and try to help by putting a classroom curriculum online. This will help bridge the gap between the limited classroom time provided by College Professors and the desire to have a programming mentor by college students. This course is programming intensive and the goal is to bring out the passion for programming in Students that enroll in this course. The concepts covered are listed below:

• Introduction to Computers and Programs

• Input, Processing, and Output

• Decision Structures and Boolean Logic

• Repetitive Control Structures

• Functions

These are just basic concepts in Python Programming.  There are checkpoints in between lectures to keep you on track and at the end of every lesson, programming exercises are assigned. Solutions to the programming exercises are provided so you can validate your solution. The instructor can also be contacted for mentorship and more guidance as students take this course.
