Welcome of Manga FX in Adobe Photoshop!  In this course, I teach you how modern comics artists get those amazing graphic design touches that reflect traditional Japanese manga comics techniques. 

Make Manga FX In Adobe Photoshop focuses on how you can take your simple pencil sketches and elevate them to the level of what we are familiar with in professional manga comics.  I cover classic illustrated manga techniques like

• screentoning

• speedlines

• panel and word balloon design

• digital inking

• adding textures

• creating halftone patterns

and show how the modern manga artist can develop a similar aesthetic in Photoshop. 

Some expectations:

• This class focuses on the graphic design comics effects of manga art, and not the illustration of specific manga tropes like anatomy or perspective.

• Students will need access to Adobe Photoshop and their own artwork.
