English Language Arts (Begins 4/1/2019)

The English Language Arts exam will last two days for 4th grade students. The English Language Arts exam includes three types of questions; multiple choice, short response, and essays. The tutorial in this course consists of five released passages from the 2018 4th grade New York state exam. During the tutorial each passage is read aloud, then each question is answered and explained. 4th grade students should have some experience writing short responses and essays, but proper writing format is also explained in this course. The 4th grade English Language Arts section of the test has no time limit, therefor students in this course have no time restrictions on their work. Students in the 4th grade should be encouraged to take their time on the ELA exam and check over all of their answers.

Math (Begins 4/30/19)

The New York state Math exam will last two days for 4th grade students. The 4th grade Math exam includes multiple choice and written response questions where students must show work. Common Core Math has many parents confused and frustrated. This course attempts to answer all Math questions with a very simple approach. The methods used to solve Math questions in this course may not be what a student learned in school. We hope this course will give students a different view on 4th grade Math. The New York state Math exam has no time limit. 4th grade students should take their time and check all work before finishing the test. The tutorial in this course includes 30 Math questions

Science (6/3/19)

The New York state Science exam will last one day for 4th grade students. The 4th grade Science test includes multiple choice and fill in the blank questions. The 4th grade New York Science test hasn't gone through much change over the years. Unlike the Math and ELA exams, the entire Science test is released each year. In this tutorial all 45 questions from the 2018 4th grade Science exam are explained. The Science section of this course also includes key vocabulary that should be memorized before taking the exam.
